Our Cardiff Castle Trip

This week we have visited Cardiff Castle to learn about 'Life as Victorian Servants'.  We had a tour around the castle to learn about the Bute family and how they lived in the castle.  We also had a workshop to learn about how servants lived during the Victorian Era.  Please keep a look out to see photos of our exciting trip being added!

Let's see what the children thought of their day out!

"It was a once in a lifetime experience to see the Castle, staff were friendly and best of all the education centre is amazing, I had so much fun."

"I liked the winter smoking room and the summer smoking room.  I also liked learning about the servants and what they had to do."

"I liked the roof, I felt as though I was on top of the world.  The banquet hall was really big, I cannot believe it took 19 years to build."

"I learned that the Caslte is over 2000 years old and the Great Lord John Patrick Creighton Stewart, his wife Lady Gwendelin and his four children lived there.  I learned what is was like to be a maid and how they still had to clean in their free time."
