It is great to be back for a new school year, with new inquiries and exciting learning experiences.

Important information

PE Days  

Indoor PE - Tuesday

Outdoor PE - Thursday

However, sometimes circumstances change and our days may be different, so could you child bring a PE kit in with them on a Monday and leave it in school until Friday.  They will need joggers/shorts, t-shirt, jumper and trainers.

Healthy Snack

Children need to bring a piece of fruit or vegetables (no nuts) every day to school and a bottle of water.

No squash is allowed as part of the child's snack.

Uniform

Children should wear school uniform every day to school.  Coats need to be brought daily - even if it is Sunny in the Please label your children's clothes with their name

Homework 

Maths and Spellings will be sent home on a Friday and need to be returned on a  Monday. 

Reading books will also go home on a Friday, please make sure you read with your child and write in their reading diary.

Our Inquiry
Our Big Idea - Identity

This term our big idea in our Inquiry is Identity.  The children will have access to a variety of learning opportunities to explore how the experiences of our community infulence who we are and how we see the world.    

In our inquiry groups we will be exploring the history of Butetown and how it has changed. We will be talking to people who grew up in Buttown and learning about their experiences. We will be studying some local art and how we can use the work of other artists to create our oem work. We will be focusing in on how to write a recount of past experiences for our writing genre. 

As part of the introduction to our inquiry we talked about our identity and wore clothes that reflect part of wo we are.
