Healthy Schools: Snack time is an important time in the school day. Please can you ensure your child brings their water bottle and one piece of fruit everyday!!πŸŒπŸ“πŸŽπŸ‡πŸ‰

We had a lovely time visiting Craft in the Bay. We looked at the paintings in the ‘Hedfanol’ gallery and chose our favourite. We listened to stories and sang songs about bees, butterflies and birds. We then worked together to create an amazing piece of artwork! 

Fantastic morning listening to Emma from the RSPCA talking to us about the needs of animals and how to treat them with kindness and respect! πŸ•‍🦺🐈🐾🐾 We raised £26 for the charity thank you so much!

 

We planted our sunflowers in our outdoor area today, they have grown so fast! We have been looking after them carefully, giving them lots of water! πŸ’¦πŸŒ» Summer is here!!

Sports Day was fantastic! Thank you so much to all the parents who came to watch. Here are some photographs of our afternoon, we enjoyed an ice-pop treat for being so fantastic! Well done to Harlech the winning team!!!β­οΈπŸ†

Summer Term

Our new inquiry this term is ‘By looking after our environment living things will grow and change’. 
 

We will be taking the ‘Big Help Out’ challenge and helping the RSPCA look after the wildlife around us. We will be finding out about different habitats and life cycles. Look out for our digital scrapbook to find out more! πŸ”πŸŒ»πŸ›πŸ¦‹

Being creative allows us to express who we are and where we are from!

 

This term we will be getting creative! 

 

We will be learning to express who we are and where we are from by painting, drawing, dressing up, dancing and singing. We can't wait to showcase our work. πŸŽ¨πŸ–ŒπŸŽ€πŸŽ­

 

 

Children’s Mental Health Week 2023- Dress to Impress! 

We all live in Butetown but we have links to countries all over the World! Watch us speaking about our traditional clothes on Seesaw! 

We have been busy dressing up and performing in our new theatre role-play area# Dress to Impress Children’s Mental Health Week 2023!

We had a fantastic time on the AquaBus trip ride at Cardiff Bay. We experienced the movement of the boat on water and observed the movement of the water, ducks, boats and birds as we travelled around the barrage. We learn't about the history of Butetown and how the water is an important feature of living in "Tiger Bay"!

We are all different but live in the same locality.

Our class video is now on Seesaw for you to watch. We had so much fun making it! πŸ˜€

 

 

We enjoyed collecting data to find out what the most common eye colour and hair colour was in year1! We put our data into graphs for everyone to see!

We had fun sharing out all the Autumn soup for all the forest animals. We made sure they all had the same amount of acorns, cookers, sticks and leaves! 🐿🦑🦊🐭
