Our PE days are a Wednesday and a Friday. Please bring a PE kit to school at the start of the week for the children to change into on our allocated days. They can then bring it home on a Friday.

We are a healthy school and children are allowed to bring a healthy snack everyday, such as a piece of fruit.

In addition water bottles should be brought to school daily, we ask that they are filled with water only. Thank you.

We are just about to start our first inquiry of the Spring term.

The central idea that we are going to explore is:

'Our Living world is wonderfully diverse. A world where all living things aim to survive and thrive.'

We will be exploring what this statement means. We will be learning about the living world of plants and animals atound us around and how we all depend on each other for survival. We will also be looking at what we need to keep our bodies and minds healthy.

We have decided on the things we need to be the best we can be. It was a difficult choice to decide on just 5! The all seems to be so important. However, after lots of discussion, debate and finally voting we did it.

Our top five needs are:

Friendship

Love

Co-operation

Kindness

Tolerance.

This half term we are focusing on Article 24 of The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

Article 24 (health and health services)

Every child has the right to the best possible health. Governments must provide good quality health care, clean water, nutritious food, and a clean environment and education on health and well-being so that children can stay healthy. Richer countries must help poorer countries achieve this

Watch out below for some information and photos showing the work we are doing over the next few weeks.

Autumn Work

We also had great fun inside while it was raining outside! We moved the tables back and found a space, then we learnt some new Zumba moves! What a great way to exercise when its raining!

Using the 'Zones Of Regulation' to help understand how we feel and how we can manage our feelings has really helped with out learning, Tis week we created some 3D art to represent the Zones.
