Going for Gold

There is a right way and a wrong way to behave at St Mary's.... the children try their best to choose the right way!

Our Going for Gold is based around our 4 school rules...

1.Use an appropriate voice.

2. Listen to the person who is talking.

3. Use kind words, hands and feet.

4. Look after school equipment.

All children will start EVERY day on green...

If a child goes above and beyond, showing special effort, they will be moved onto GOLD!

IF a pupil, after a warning, breaks one of the rules, their name will be moved down to amber.

IF a pupil continues to make bad choices and break a school rule, they will go into 'Take A Break' where they will be asked to think about their behaviour and write down their response.

IF, after a think sheet, the child decides to continue with these choices, they will be placed on red and there will be a phone call home.

A child will be sent straight to red if they:

*Use inappropriate language deliberately towards an adult or child

*Use any discriminatory language

*Shows violent behaviour.

IMPORTANT

CHILDREN CAN ALWAYS MOVE BACK UP DURING THE DAY IF THEY CHANGE THEIR BEHAVIOUR!

At the end of each day Dojo points will be given to every child who is on:

GOLD: 3 POINTS

GREEN: 2 POINTS

AMBER: 1 POINT

And all our GOLD pupils will be celebrated during Good Book Assembly every Friday. Yay!
