Class 2

Welcome to Class 2's Home Learning Page

Here you will find a weekly plan of activities to do so you can continue your learning at home.

There will be a daily maths and literacy activity as well as a weekly topic activity for you to complete.

If there is work set on Google Classroom I will direct you there in the plan and you will need to use your hwb login details for this.

There will also be lots of maths games on active learn for you to play! Once you have completed the games I will continue to add some more.

Thank you for helping and supporting your child in these tasks.

I look forward to seeing all of your fantastic work!

Easter Holidays

The next 2 weeks are the Easter Holidays so enjoy spending this time with your families!

You can continue to play the maths games on active learn, access free reading books on the oxford owl website and finish any work on google classroom if you need to. Well done Class 2 on all of your hard work this term - you are superstars!

It is great to see the work you have done so far on active learn and Google Classroom.

I will upload the Week 3 planning sheet onto this class page on Monday 20th April.

Don't forget to show your family the Easter card you made!

Take care and stay safe everyone.

Our trip to St Fagan's Museum Trip

Year 1 and Year 2 had a fantastic time on our school trip and we learned a lot about shopping in the past. Mrs Thomas the shopkeeper explained that there is only one small shop where all of the items were bought.

Spring Term

My Wales, Your Wales, Our Wales.

This half term we will be looking at Welsh life in the past and visiting St Fagans Museum to explore how people went shopping in the past, visiting our local shop in Butetown and exploring Welsh Castles in preparation for Our St David's Day Eisteddfod Competition!

Autumn Term

Our topic this half term is 'Once upon a time...'

We have been reading lots of traditional tales, written recipes for Carrot Soup and performed some of our own fantastic stories!

Maths

Please can you support your child in learning all addition bonds of 10 e.g. 3+7=10, the 2x and 5x tables.
